How You Can Help

Make a Donation

We find funding very difficult as we tend not to get the donations that other rescue centres receive when dogs, cats etc. are re-homed. Any donation no matter how small would be gratefully received. Please pop into our shop in North street with donations or transfer via the PayPal donate buttons. You can also transfer donations directly to our bank account at:

Skibbereen branch of the Bank of Ireland
Name: Skibbereen Animal Rescue.
Account Number 19112950
Sort Code 90-29-52

The bulk of our funding currently comes from our shop, so all donations of bric-a-brac, clothes, books, household items, toys etc will be gratefully received.

The new scene – Money and volunteers urgently needed

We are looking for donations of materials, equipment and volunteers to undertake a number of tasks:

Concrete pads will need to be laid for dog runs and these buildings. Sand, gravel and cement material required, plus the use of a digger and driver and volunteer concrete layers.

Partitions will need to be constructed within the buildings to accommodate individual and groups of dogs. Partitioning materials required together with volunteer construction labour.

A water and electricity supply, drainage and sewerage system, together with an access track will need to be constructed from the main house to the rescue premises. Donation of materials for this needed together with volunteer labour to lay pipes and cables, dig trenches and lay gravel.

The perimeter surrounding the land, which will be used to exercise the dogs, will require 6ft dog proof security fencing. Again we are looking for the donation of materials and volunteer labour for this.
